I wish I could give you more information on this exhibit. Unfortunately, this was such a massive and complex undertaking that it took many computers to run it and was therefore too hardware intensive to be used during the regular session of the Cyberconf. Instead, we got to see a videotape of others in the creation. Apparently there were many problems in the implementation of this project, but even though all the plans were not full realised, the impact of the project was still great. The idea was to allow two people to interact with three environments taken from the surrounding Banff region. The people then could take on the role of any of 4 spirit critters - spider, snake, fish and crow. Each had their own unique abilities and perspectives on the world. Within each world are also little stone "voice holders" that act like verbal graffiti. This project was an interesting study into the nature of play, and the way people interact with each other when they are drastically removed from their normal head space. To me this is a project that would be worth continuing and adding to.
